"Alpargatas" Commercial Offices, Buenos Aires Argentina

The original buildings are intended to be revived with renewed vigor, as offices for the government of the state of Buenos Aires.

The proposal aims to restore up to 95% of the existing structures with minimal intervention, keeping the environmental footprint to a minimum.

There are 4 sectors ranging from 3 to 6 levels, these will be completely restored to their original state with the addition of access and required health nodes. The 4 sectors will be interrelated creating an extension of open office spaces.

The focal point of the proposal and the only new intervention will be an atrium within an existing courtyard, illuminated by a large skylight, this fifth sector of 5 levels, will add an additional 4,748 m2 of open office space, overlooking the garden area below, The total net area will be approximately 25,000 m2.
